Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ham

In a large skillet, cook the country ham over medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired level of crispiness. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Eggs

In the same skillet, add butter. Once melted, crack the eggs into the skillet and cook to your preferred doneness (sunny-side up, over-easy, etc.), about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 3

    Toast the Bread

While the eggs are cooking, toast the bread slices in a toaster or on a griddle until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Prepare Home Fries or Grits

If making home fries, dice potatoes and sauté in a separate pan with oil until crispy and tender, about 15-20 minutes. If making grits, cook according to package instructions.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Plate

On a plate, place the cooked ham, fried eggs, and a serving of home fries or grits. Serve with the toasted bread on the side.
