Prepare the Glass
Fill a copper mug or highball glass with ice cubes to chill while you prepare the drink.

Mix the Drink
In a separate mixing glass, combine 2 oz of Irish whiskey, 0.5 oz of fresh lime juice, and 4 oz of ginger beer. Stir gently to combine.

Assemble the Drink
Remove the ice from the glass if desired (or keep it) and pour the whiskey mixture into the prepared glass.
