Sausages

Mashed Potatoes

Method

Sausages

  1. 1

    Cook the Sausages

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the pork sausages and cook for about 15 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.

Mashed Potatoes

  1. 2

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into equal-sized chunks. Place them in a large pot and cover with water. Add a pinch of salt.

  2. 3

    Boil the Potatoes

Bring the pot to a boil over high heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.

  3. 4

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Gravy

  1. 5

    Make the Gravy

In the same skillet used for the sausages, add finely chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

  2. 6

    Combine with Broth

Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir to combine. Gradually add beef broth while stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Bring to a simmer.

  3. 7

    Season the Gravy

Add Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Continue to cook until the gravy thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
