Pizza Sauce Preparation

Add the Tomatoes
Add the canned crushed tomatoes to the saucepan. Stir to combine.

Season the Sauce
Add dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and sugar to the sauce. Stir well and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Finish the Sauce
Stir in the chopped fresh basil and remove from heat. Set the sauce aside to cool.

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

Prepare the Dough
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer it to a baking sheet or pizza stone.

Spread the Sauce
Spread an even layer of the house-made pizza sauce over the rolled-out dough.

Add Sun-Dried Tomatoes
Sprinkle the chopped sun-dried tomatoes evenly over the sauce.

Layer the Cheese
Add the mozzarella, provolone, parmesan, asiago, and fontina cheeses on top of the sun-dried tomatoes.

Bake the Pizza
Place the assembled pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Cool and Serve
Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot.
