Method

Chicken Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Start by flattening the chicken breasts to ensure even cooking. Use a meat mallet to pound the chicken to about 1/2 inch thickness.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place the flour mixed with salt, pepper, and garlic powder in one, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs in the third.

  3. 3

    Bread the Chicken

Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. Ensure each piece is well coated.

  4. 4

    Fry the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the chicken breasts for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and let drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Toss in Buffalo Sauce

In a large bowl, toss the fried chicken breasts with buffalo sauce until completely coated.

Sandwich Assembly

  1. 6

    Toast the Buns

Lightly toast the potato buns in a skillet or toaster until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Assemble the Sandwich

On the bottom half of the toasted bun, place a piece of buffalo chicken, top with a slice of Swiss cheese, a handful of lettuce, and a generous portion of Nashville hot pickles. Cover with the top half of the bun.

  3. 8

    Serve

Cut the sandwich in half if desired, serve hot, and enjoy your crispy buffalo chicken sandwich!
