Bratwurst

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prep the Bratwurst

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the bratwurst sausages and brown them on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

  2. 2

    Beer Steaming

Pour the lager beer into the skillet with the bratwurst. Cover and let them simmer for about 10-15 minutes until cooked through.

  3. 3

    Grill the Bratwurst

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Once the bratwurst are steamed, remove them from the skillet and place them on the grill. Grill for about 3-5 minutes on each side, until they have nice grill marks.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Rolls

While the bratwurst is grilling, slice the pretzel rolls in half and toast them lightly on the grill until golden.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Dish

Place each grilled bratwurst in a toasted pretzel roll. Top with sauerkraut and a drizzle of yellow mustard. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
