Frikadelle Ingredients

Method

Frikadelle Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, chopped German wurst, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Shape the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick. You should get about 4 patties from the mixture.

  3. 3

    Grill the Patties

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked and have a nice golden-brown crust.

  4. 4

    Toast the Rolls

While the patties are grilling, slice the Kaiser rolls and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Frikadelle

Place each grilled patty on the bottom half of a toasted Kaiser roll. If desired, add cheese on top of the patties. Top with the other half of the roll and serve immediately.
