Cajun Chicken Poppers

Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Cook the chicken breast in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, then shred it and mix with cajun seasoning.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, mix the cream cheese with shredded chicken and additional cajun seasoning to taste.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Peppers

Slice the jalapeño peppers in half and remove the seeds. Stuff each half with the cream cheese and chicken mixture.

  4. 4

    Breading the Poppers

Set up a breading station with flour, beaten egg, and bread crumbs. Dip each stuffed jalapeño first in flour, then egg, and finally coat with bread crumbs.

  5. 5

    Fry the Poppers

Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the poppers in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Dipping Sauce

In a small bowl, mix Creole mayonnaise with hot sauce to taste.

  7. 7

    Serve

Serve the Cajun chicken poppers hot with the Creole mayonnaise dipping sauce on the side.
