Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mixture

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bratwurst, ground sausage, sauerkraut, chopped onion, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Balls

Take a portion of the mixture and form it into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. 3

    Prepare Breading

In a separate bowl, place the bread crumbs. In another bowl, beat the egg. Dip each meatball into the beaten egg, allowing excess to drip off, then roll in the bread crumbs until fully coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Balls

Carefully add the breaded balls to the hot oil in batches. Fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the brat n' kraut balls hot with your choice of dipping sauces.
