Fried Pickles

Method

Fried Pickles

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pickles

Drain the dill pickle slices and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Breading

In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Dredge the Pickles

Dip each pickle slice into buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture until fully coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  5. 5

    Fry the Pickles

Carefully add the coated pickle slices to the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Remove the fried pickles from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.

House-Made Ranch

  1. 7

    Mix the Ingredients

In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dill weed, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice.

  2. 8

    Whisk Together

Whisk all the ingredients together until smooth and well combined. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  3. 9

    Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the ranch dressing for at least 30 minutes before serving to enhance flavors.
