Chicken Tenders
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare Chicken
Cut the chicken breast fillets into tenders (about 1 inch wide).
- 2
Marinate
In a bowl, combine the chicken tenders with buttermilk. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- 3
Prepare Coating
In another bowl, mix together the flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 4
Heat Oil
In a large skillet or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Coat Chicken
Remove the chicken from the buttermilk and allow excess to drip off. Dredge each tender in the flour mixture, ensuring it's well coated.
- 6
Fry Chicken
Carefully add the coated chicken tenders to the hot oil. Fry in batches to avoid overcrowding. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway.
- 7
Drain and Serve
Remove the chicken tenders from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot.
