Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribeye

Thinly slice the ribeye steak against the grain into strips.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Onions

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and sauté until soft and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Add the sliced ribeye to the skillet with the onions. Season with salt and black pepper. Cook until the steak is browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

    Melt the Cheese

Place slices of American cheese on top of the steak and onion mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid for 1-2 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Cheesesteak

Split the Amoroso's rolls and fill each with the steak and cheese mixture. Optionally, add roasted peppers, jalapeños, or mushrooms on top.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve hot and enjoy your homemade Andy's Cheesesteak!
