Method

Preparation of Meatballs

1

Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground meat, finely chopped herbs, and spices.

2

Mix Thoroughly

Using your hands or a spoon, mix the ingredients until well combined, ensuring the herbs and spices are evenly distributed.

3

Form Meatballs

Take a portion of the mixture and roll it into balls, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

4

Chill

Refrigerate the formed meatballs for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape during cooking.

Cooking the Meatballs

5

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

6

Bake Meatballs

Place the baking sheet with the meatballs in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.

Making the Tomato Sauce

7

Prepare Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté chopped onions and garlic until fragrant.

8

Add Tomato Base

Stir in crushed tomatoes, salt, pepper, and any additional herbs or spices to taste. Let the sauce simmer for 15-20 minutes.

Combining and Serving

9

Combine Meatballs and Sauce

Once the meatballs are cooked, gently add them to the simmering tomato sauce. Allow them to simmer together for an additional 5-10 minutes.

10

Serve

Serve the meatballs hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired, alongside pasta or crusty bread.
