Cooking Directions
- 1
Cook the Pasta
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- 2
Sauté the Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until translucent. Add the sliced bell peppers and mushrooms, and continue to sauté for another 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- 3
Add Garlic and Seasonings
Stir in the minced garlic, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
- 4
Combine with Marinara Sauce
Pour in the marinara sauce, stirring to combine. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- 5
Toss Pasta with Sauce
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing well to coat the pasta with the sauce and vegetables. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- 6
Serve
Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
