Brew a cup of espresso coffee and set it aside to cool to room temperature.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar and egg yolks until the mixture is thick and pale, about 5 minutes.

Incorporate Mascarpone
Gently fold the mascarpone cheese into the egg mixture until well combined and smooth.

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

Combine Mixtures
Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture gently, ensuring it remains light and fluffy.
Assembly

Dip the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso coffee, making sure they are soaked but not soggy.

Layer the Ingredients
In a rectangular dish, place a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom, then spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the top.

Repeat Layers
Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
