Preparation

Preparation

1. Gather the Ingredients

Collect all the ingredients you will need for making the house white wine, including white wine grapes, water, sugar, yeast, and any optional flavorings.

2. Clean the Grapes

Rinse the white wine grapes under cold water to remove any dirt or pesticides. Remove the stems and any spoiled grapes.

3. Crush the Grapes

In a large bowl or fermentation vessel, crush the grapes using your hands or a grape crusher to release the juice. Make sure to keep the skins and seeds as they will contribute to the flavor.

Fermentation

4. Add Water and Sugar

Pour the 500 ml of water into the crushed grapes and add 200 g of sugar. Stir well to dissolve the sugar completely.

5. Add Yeast

Sprinkle the 5 g of yeast over the mixture. Let it sit for about 15 minutes to activate the yeast before stirring it in.

6. Cover and Ferment

Cover the vessel with a clean cloth to allow air flow while preventing contaminants. Let the mixture ferment in a cool, dark place for about 1 to 2 weeks, stirring daily.

Flavoring and Bottling

7. Add Optional Flavorings

After fermentation is complete, you can add optional flavorings such as lemon zest, peach puree, or elderflower syrup according to your taste. Stir well.

8. Strain the Wine

Using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the wine into another clean container, separating the liquid from the solids.

9. Bottle the Wine

Transfer the strained wine into clean bottles, leaving some space at the top. Seal with a cork or cap.

10. Age the Wine

Let the bottled wine age in a cool, dark place for at least one month before consuming for the best flavor.
