Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Make the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the eggs. Using a fork, gradually mix the flour into the eggs until a dough starts to form.

  2. 2

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Wrap in plastic wrap and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.

Filling Preparation

  1. 3

    Cook the Beef

In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease.

  2. 4

    Mix the Filling

In a bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic (finely chopped), dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Roll Out the Dough

On a floured surface, roll out the rested dough until it is thin enough to see your hand through it (about 1/16 inch thick). Cut the dough into squares, approximately 2-inch by 2-inch.

  2. 6

    Fill the Ravioli

Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each square. Moisten the edges of the square with water, fold over to create a triangle, and press to seal the edges firmly. Use a fork to crimp the edges for a decorative touch.

Cooking

  1. 7

    Boil the Ravioli

Bring a large pot of salted water to a gentle boil. Carefully drop the ravioli into the boiling water and cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until they float to the surface.

  2. 8

    Heat the Sauce

In a saucepan, gently heat the marinara sauce over low heat until warmed through.

  3. 9

    Serve

Using a slotted spoon, remove the ravioli from the pot and drain. Serve hot, topped with marinara sauce.
