Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the K.C. Strip Steak with olive oil, then season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Sear the Steak

In a skillet over medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, place the steak in the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Flavor

During the last minute of cooking, add butter, crushed garlic cloves, and a sprig of fresh rosemary to the skillet. Baste the steak with the melted butter and garlic for added flavor.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.

Mostaccioli con Garlic

  1. 5

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the mostaccioli pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 6

    Prepare the Garlic Oil

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 7

    Combine Pasta and Garlic Oil

Add the cooked mostaccioli to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic oil. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  4. 8

    Finish the Dish

Add grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley to the pasta, mixing well to combine.

Sautéed Vegetables

  1. 9

    Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the bell peppers and zucchini into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 10

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, then add the chopped vegetables.

  3. 11

    Season and Cook

Season the vegetables with salt and black pepper. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and slightly caramelized.
