Marinade Preparation

Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Add chicken breasts and coat well. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking Spaghetti

Cook the Spaghetti
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water and 1 tsp of salt to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Making Marinara Sauce

Prepare the Marinara Sauce
In a large saucepan, heat 2 tbs of olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute. Stir in crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Let simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Assemble the Grilled Chicken Parmigiano
In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Add cooked spaghetti on top, then layer with remaining marinara sauce. Place grilled chicken breasts on top. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella cheese.

Bake the Dish
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the assembled dish for about 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
