Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes or until fragrant, but not browned.
- 3
Add the Clams
Stir in the chopped sea clams and crushed red pepper flakes. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, allowing the clams to warm through.
- 4
Deglaze with White Wine (if using)
If using white wine, pour it into the skillet and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the alcohol to cook off and the sauce to thicken slightly.
- 5
Season the Sauce
Season the clam sauce with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.
