Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Linguine

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Clam Sauce Preparation

  1. 2

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes or until fragrant, but not browned.

  2. 3

    Add the Clams

Stir in the chopped sea clams and crushed red pepper flakes. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, allowing the clams to warm through.

  3. 4

Deglaze with White Wine (if using)

If using white wine, pour it into the skillet and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the alcohol to cook off and the sauce to thicken slightly.

  4. 5

    Season the Sauce

Season the clam sauce with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.

Combine and Serve

  1. 6

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the clam sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.

  2. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately with your choice of tomato sauce and grated Parmesan cheese on the side.
