Flan Directions
- 1
Prepare the Caramel
In a saucepan, melt the granulated sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until it turns golden brown. Quickly pour the caramel into a round flan mold or individual ramekins, tilting to coat the bottom evenly. Set aside to cool and harden.

Bake the Flan
Pour the flan mixture over the hardened caramel in the mold. Place the mold in a larger baking dish filled with hot water (water bath). Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 50-60 minutes, or until set. A knife inserted in the center should come out clean.

Cool and Serve
Remove the flan from the water bath and let it cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. To serve, run a knife around the edges to loosen it, then invert onto a serving plate. Top with house-made dulce de leche and whipped cream.
