Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crust

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.

  2. 2

    Bake the Crust

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool while preparing the filling.

Filling Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add granulated sugar, sour cream, vanilla extract, and flour. Mix until well combined.

  2. 4

    Add Eggs

Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just blended. Be careful not to overmix.

Baking

  1. 5

    Pour and Bake

Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust. Bake in the oven for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.

  2. 6

    Cool and Refrigerate

Turn off the oven and crack the door, allowing the cheesecake to cool slowly for 1 hour. Then, refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve the Cheesecake

Once chilled, remove the cheesecake from the springform pan. Top with fresh berries and a dusting of powdered sugar if desired. Slice and serve.
