Prepare the Meat Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, sauté until translucent. Add ground beef and pork, season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 15 minutes.

Prepare the Cheese Mixture
In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, fontina cheese, and fresh basil. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.

Assemble the Lasagna
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce. Spread half of the cheese mixture on top, followed by a layer of meat sauce. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles and remaining sauce. Top with the rest of the mozzarella cheese.

Bake
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serve
Let the lasagna cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
