For the Spaghetti and Marinara Sauce

Method

Preparation of Chicken Parmigiana

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with grated Parmesan cheese.

  2. 2

    Bread the Chicken

Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip into the eggs, and then coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure each piece is well-coated.

  3. 3

    Cook the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook until golden brown on both sides (about 4-5 minutes per side).

  4. 4

    Add Sauce and Cheese

Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish. Spoon Pomodoro sauce over each piece and top with shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Preparation of Spaghetti and Marinara Sauce

  1. 5

    Cook the Spaghetti

While the chicken is baking, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain and set aside.

  2. 6

    Heat the Marinara Sauce

In a saucepan, heat the Marinara sauce over medium heat until warmed through.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

Serve the chicken parmigiana alongside a portion of spaghetti topped with Marinara sauce. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
