Warm the Beef Broth
In a saucepan, heat the beef broth over medium heat until it is warm but not boiling. This will be used for dipping.

Assemble the Sandwiches
Cut the French rolls or baguette in half. Layer the bottom half of each roll with sliced roast beef, then top with the sautéed onions and provolone cheese.

Melt the Cheese
Place the assembled sandwiches under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove the sandwiches from the broiler and serve hot with the warm beef broth on the side for dipping.
