Preparation Directions
- 1
Making the Biscuits
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the buttermilk until just combined. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently. Roll out to about 1-inch thick and cut into rounds. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

Making the Sausage Gravy
In a large skillet, cook the ground sausage over medium heat until browned. Sprinkle in the ¼ cup of flour and stir to combine. Gradually whisk in the milk and continue to cook until the gravy thickens. Season with black pepper to taste.
- 3
Cooking the Hash Browns
In another skillet, cook the hash browns according to package instructions or until golden brown and crispy.
- 4
Serving
Split the biscuits in half, ladle the sausage gravy over the top, and serve with hash browns on the side.
