Wisconsin Cheese Curds

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Breading Station

Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls. In the first bowl, add flour mixed with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. In the second bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. In the third bowl, add bread crumbs.

  2. 2

    Coat the Cheese Curds

Take a cheese curd, dip it into the flour mixture, ensuring it's evenly coated. Then dip it into the egg mixture, and finally, coat it with bread crumbs. Repeat this process for all cheese curds.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet or fryer, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  4. 4

    Fry the Cheese Curds

Carefully add the breaded cheese curds to the hot oil in batches. Fry them for about 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve hot with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
