Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mussels and Shrimp

Rinse the mussels under cold water, scrubbing the shells to remove any dirt. Remove any beards if present. In a large pot, add the mussels and shrimp.

  2. 2

Make the White Wine Butter Sauce

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant. Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Add lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Mussels and Shrimp

Pour the white wine butter sauce over the mussels and shrimp in the pot. Cover and steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until the mussels open and shrimp turn pink.

  4. 4

    Prepare Garlic Bread

While the mussels and shrimp are cooking, brush the French bread slices with olive oil, sprinkle with a little salt, and toast them in a skillet until golden brown on both sides.

  5. 5

    Serve

Once cooked, remove the mussels and shrimp from the pot and serve them in a bowl with the sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with the toasted garlic bread on the side.
