Method

Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, mix together the almond flour, powdered sugar, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Add Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites and vanilla extract together until slightly frothy. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.

  4. 4

    Pipe the Dough

Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a large round tip. Pipe the dough into desired shapes, typically rings, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. 5

    Bake the Cakes

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden. Allow cooling completely on a wire rack.

Frosting Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Frosting

In a clean bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, egg white, and lemon juice until smooth and glossy.

  2. 7

    Decorate the Cakes

Once the cakes are completely cooled, use a piping bag to frost the Kransekake in a decorative pattern. Allow the frosting to set before serving.
