Tea Preparation

Boil Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat.

Steep Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.

Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the saucepan and discard them.
Sweetening

Add Sugar
While the tea is still warm, add 1 cup of granulated sugar to the tea and stir until fully dissolved.

Add Lemon Juice
Stir in 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice to enhance the flavor of the tea.

Prepare Lemon Slices
Slice the lemon and set aside for garnish.
Chill and Serve

Cool the Tea
Transfer the sweet tea to a pitcher and let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate it until chilled.

To serve, fill a glass with ice cubes, pour the chilled sweet tea over the ice, and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves.
