Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Crab Legs
Thaw the snow crab legs if they are frozen. Place them in the refrigerator overnight or run them under cold water for about 30 minutes before cooking.
- 2
Set Up the Steamer
In a large pot, add 1 cup of water and bring it to a boil over medium-high heat. Place a steamer basket or a colander in the pot, ensuring it doesn't touch the water.
Cooking
- 3
Steam the Crab Legs
Once the water is boiling, carefully place the thawed snow crab legs in the steamer basket. Cover the pot with a lid and steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until heated through.
- 4
Melt the Butter
While the crab legs are steaming, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Keep warm until ready to serve.
Serving
- 5
Serve the Dish
Once the crab legs are done steaming, remove them from the pot using tongs. Place them on a serving platter, sprinkle with Old Bay seasoning and salt to taste, and serve with melted butter and lemon wedges on the side.
