Method
Lobster Filling Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Lobster
If using whole lobsters, cook them in boiling water for 10-12 minutes until they turn bright red and the meat is opaque. Remove from water and let cool. Remove the meat from the claws, tail, and body and chop into bite-sized pieces.
- 2
Mix the Filling
In a large bowl, combine the fresh lobster meat, mayonnaise, diced celery, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, and chopped dill. Mix gently until all ingredients are well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Roll Preparation
- 3
Prepare the Rolls
In a skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, add the hot dog rolls and toast them in the butter until they are golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes.
- 4
Assemble the Lobster Rolls
If desired, place a lettuce leaf inside each toasted roll. Then, generously fill each roll with the lobster mixture. Optionally, serve with lemon wedges on the side for added flavor.
