Method
Crabcakes Directions
- 1
Prepare the Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, green onions, bread crumbs, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper.
- 2
Mix Thoroughly
Gently fold the ingredients together until everything is well combined. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
- 3
Chill the Mixture
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes to help it firm up.
- 4
Form the Crabcakes
After chilling, use your hands to form the mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. You want enough oil to cover the bottom of the skillet.
- 6
Cook the Crabcakes
Once the oil is hot, carefully add the crabcakes to the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- 7
Drain and Serve
Remove the crabcakes from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve warm with your choice of sauce.
