Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, onion powder, and dried thyme. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Season the Pork

Rub the pork shoulder with olive oil, then generously apply the spice mixture all over the meat. Make sure to get into all the crevices.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  4. 4

    Prepare the Roasting Pan

Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a roasting pan. Pour the apple cider vinegar and chicken broth around the meat.

  5. 5

    Roast the Pork

Cover the roasting pan with foil and place it in the preheated oven. Roast for 4 to 5 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.

  6. 6

    Finish and Serve

Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the pork to develop a crust. Once done, let the meat rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
