Prepare the Marinade
In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, onion powder, and dried thyme. Mix well.

Season the Pork
Rub the pork shoulder with olive oil, then generously apply the spice mixture all over the meat. Make sure to get into all the crevices.

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a roasting pan. Pour the apple cider vinegar and chicken broth around the meat.

Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the pork to develop a crust. Once done, let the meat rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
