Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Dough
Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to fit your pizza stone or baking sheet.
- 2
Cook the Toppings
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the fennel sausage, breaking it apart until browned. Add the ground beef and cook until browned as well. Season with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- 3
Prepare the Bacon
In a separate pan, cook the applewood smoked bacon until crispy. Once cooked, chop it into bite-sized pieces.
- 4
Assemble the Pizza
Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough. Layer with the cooked sausage, ground beef, bacon, and artisanal pepperoni. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- 5
Bake the Pizza
Drizzle olive oil over the top of the pizza and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- 6
Serve
Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve hot.
