Chicken and Bacon

Sandwich Assembly

Method

Preparing Chicken and Bacon

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Cook the Chicken

Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper. In the same skillet, add the chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, until fully cooked and no longer pink in the center. Remove from skillet and let rest.

Making White BBQ Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth. Set aside.

Assembling the Sandwich

  1. 4

    Slice the Chicken

Once the chicken has rested, slice it into thin strips.

  2. 5

    Build the Sandwich

On the bottom half of each brioche bun, layer sliced chicken, a slice of Gouda cheese, a few slices of crispy bacon, red onions, and pickles. Drizzle the white BBQ sauce on top and place the top half of the bun.

Preparing Shoestring Fries

  1. 6

    Fry the Potatoes

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the shoestring potatoes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with salt.
