Method

Waffle Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix; small lumps are okay.

  4. 4

    Heat Waffle Iron

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  5. 5

    Cook Waffles

Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the center of the preheated waffle iron. Close the lid and cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes depending on your waffle iron.

  6. 6

    Repeat

Continue cooking waffles with the remaining batter, placing finished waffles on a warm plate or in a low oven to keep them warm.

Assembly and Serving

  1. 7

    Prepare Toppings

While the waffles are cooking, prepare the toppings. Slice any whole fruits as needed.

  2. 8

    Arrange the Waffle Board

On a large serving board or platter, place the cooked waffles in the center. Surround them with bowls of peanut butter, Nutella, mixed fresh fruit, chocolate chips, and honey butter.

  3. 9

    Serve

Invite guests to build their own waffle creations by spreading peanut butter or Nutella on the waffles, adding fruit, sprinkling chocolate chips, and drizzling with honey butter.
