Main Ingredients

Lemon Basil Vinaigrette

Method

Preparing the Smoked Tuna Dip

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the smoked tuna, cream cheese, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, chives, salt, and black pepper. Use a fork to mix until well blended and creamy.

  2. 2

    Chill

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Cooking the Ahi Tuna

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Pan

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Season the Ahi Tuna

Lightly season the ahi tuna filet with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  3. 5

    Cook the Ahi Tuna

Place the seasoned ahi tuna on the grill or in the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side for medium rare, or longer if you prefer it more well-done.

  4. 6

    Rest

Remove the tuna from heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes before slicing.

Making the Lemon Basil Vinaigrette

  1. 7

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, chopped basil, lemon juice, honey, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 8

    Taste and Adjust

Taste the vinaigrette and adjust seasoning as necessary.

Assembling the Plate

  1. 9

    Arrange the Ingredients

On each plate, place a generous handful of mixed greens, then add a scoop of the smoked tuna dip on one side and the sliced ahi tuna on the other.

  2. 10

    Drizzle Vinaigrette

Drizzle the lemon basil vinaigrette over the mixed greens.

  3. 11

    Serve with Biscuit

Place a biscuit on the side of the plate and serve immediately.
