Burger Components

Shoestring Fries

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Divide the meat into two equal portions and form into patties.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they reach your desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt the cheese.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of the burger bun, spread BBQ sauce. Place the cooked patty with melted cheese, followed by bacon strips, sliced red onion, and pickles. Drizzle ranch dressing on top, then cover with the other half of the bun.

Shoestring Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Slice them into thin strips to create shoestring fries.

  2. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a deep pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the sliced potatoes to the hot oil in batches, frying for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 8

    Season the Fries

While the fries are still hot, sprinkle with salt to taste.
