Method

Waffles

  1. 1

    Prepare the Waffle Batter

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed.

  2. 2

    Mix Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Mixtures

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

  4. 4

    Cook the Waffles

Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. Pour the appropriate amount of batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden brown. Repeat for the remaining batter.

Toast

  1. 5

    Toast the Bread

Toast the 9-grain bread slices in a toaster or on a grill until golden brown.

Bacon

  1. 6

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain.

  2. 7

    Prepare Bacon Jam

In the same skillet, add the bacon jam and heat until warmed through.

Sausage

  1. 8

    Cook the Sausage

In the skillet, cook the sausage links over medium heat until browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.

Cheese

  1. 9

    Prepare the Cheese

Grate or slice the Cheddar cheese for serving.

Fruit

  1. 10

    Prepare the Fruit

Wash and cut the mixed fruit into bite-sized pieces. Arrange on the brunch board.

Boiled Eggs

  1. 11

    Boil the Eggs

Place the large eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then cover and remove from heat. Let sit for 9-12 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath to cool.

Spreads

  1. 12

    Prepare Spreads

In small bowls, serve the house jelly, cream cheese, and honey butter.
