Main Ingredients

Shoestring Fries

Fruit Cup (optional)

Method

Cheese Melt Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Rolls

Preheat your skillet over medium heat. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half without separating them completely.

  2. 2

    Add Cheese

Place 2 slices of cheddar cheese on the bottom half of each roll.

  3. 3

    Butter the Rolls

Spread 1/2 tablespoon of unsalted butter on the outer side of each roll's top half.

  4. 4

    Cook the Cheese Melt

Place the rolls in the skillet, buttered side down. Grill for about 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown. Flip them carefully to crisp up the other side for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Shoestring Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

  2. 6

    Fry the Fries

Carefully add the frozen shoestring fries to the hot oil. Fry them for about 3-5 minutes or until they are golden and crispy.

  3. 7

    Season the Fries

Once cooked, remove the fries from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with salt to taste.

Fruit Cup Preparation

  1. 8

    Prepare the Fruit

Wash and cut the mixed fruit into bite-sized pieces. Combine them in a bowl for a fresh fruit cup.
