Sandwich Ingredients

Method

Sandwich Preparation

  1. 1

    Assemble the Sandwich

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and spread 1 tablespoon of pesto on the bottom half of each roll.

  2. 2

    Add Ham and Cheese

Layer two slices of ham and one slice of gouda cheese on each roll. Top with a few slices of onion.

  3. 3

    Finish the Sandwich

Spread 1 tablespoon of garlic aioli on the top half of each roll and place it over the filled bottom half.

  4. 4

    Bake

Place the assembled sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown.

Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

While the sandwiches are baking, heat the oil in a deep frying pot over medium-high heat. Rinse the cut potatoes in cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.

  2. 6

    Fry the Shoestrings

Once the oil is hot, carefully add the shoestring potatoes in small batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 7

    Drain and Season

Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt to taste while still hot.
