Bread Pudding

Prepare the Bread
Cut the day-old bread into small cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.

Combine Ingredients
Pour the custard mixture over the bread cubes. Add the raisins and gently fold everything together until the bread is well coated. Let it soak for 30 minutes.

Cook the Bread Pudding
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add the soaked bread mixture, pressing down slightly. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
Bourbon Sauce

Prepare the Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, heavy cream, and butter. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is smooth.

Add Bourbon
Remove from heat and stir in the bourbon and vanilla extract. Set aside to cool slightly.
Candied Pecans

Candy the Pecans
Continue to cook until the mixture thickens and coats the pecans. Spread the pecans out on parchment paper to cool.
Serving

Serve the Dish
Slice the fried bread pudding and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Drizzle with bourbon sauce and sprinkle with candied pecans.
