Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar until well combined.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredient mixture into the dry ingredients bowl. Stir gently until just combined; do not overmix. The batter should be slightly lumpy.

Preheat Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. Lightly grease with cooking spray or a little butter if necessary.
