Method

Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Béchamel Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add 2 tablespoons of flour and whisk continuously for about 2-3 minutes to create a roux. Gradually whisk in 1 cup of milk and continue to stir until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Mushrooms

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the wild mushrooms and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and golden. Season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Pizza

Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Spread a generous layer of béchamel sauce over the dough, leaving a little space around the edges. Evenly distribute the sautéed mushrooms on top, followed by the shredded fontina cheese.

  4. 4

    Bake the Pizza

Transfer the assembled pizza onto a baking sheet or pizza stone. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.

  5. 5

    Serve with Arugula

Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Top with fresh arugula before slicing and serving. Enjoy your wild mushroom pizza!
