Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Fettuccini

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccini and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped red onion and minced garlic, sautéing until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Add the Remaining Vegetables

Add the zucchini, asparagus, carrots, and peas to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

  4. 4

    Combine Pasta and Vegetables

Add the cooked fettuccini to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour in the lemon juice and toss everything together. If the mixture seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water.

  5. 5

    Finish with Cheese and Seasonings

Stir in the pecorino cheese, fresh basil, and red pepper flakes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Toss until combined.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the fettuccini primavera warm, garnished with extra pecorino cheese and fresh basil if desired.
