Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preparing Broccoli

Wash the broccoli thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt. Cut the broccoli into florets.

  2. 2

    Preparing Corn

Remove the husk and silk from each ear of corn. Rinse the corn under cool water.

  3. 3

    Preparing Potatoes

Scrub the potatoes under running water to clean the skins. Optionally, peel the potatoes if desired.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Boiling Potatoes

Fill a large pot with water, add a pinch of salt, and bring it to a boil. Add the potatoes and cook for about 15-20 minutes or until they are tender when pierced with a fork.

  2. 5

    Cooking Corn

In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add the corn and cook for about 7-10 minutes until tender. Remove and let cool slightly.

  3. 6

    Cooking Broccoli

In the same pot used for the corn, add the broccoli florets to the boiling water and cook for 3-5 minutes until bright green and tender but still crisp. Drain immediately and place in cold water to stop the cooking process.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plating the Vegetables

Once all the vegetables are cooked, drain them well. Serve the boiled potatoes, corn on the cob, and broccoli on a plate. You can season to taste with salt, pepper, or your favorite dressing.
