Method

Cooking the Shrimp

1

Prepare the boiling liquid

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the sliced lemon, Old Bay seasoning, and salt.

2

Cook the shrimp

Once the water is boiling, add the jumbo shrimp. Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, indicating they are fully cooked.

3

Cool the shrimp

Remove the pot from heat, drain the shrimp, and transfer them to a bowl filled with ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for about 5 minutes.

4

Drain and dry

Once cooled, drain the shrimp again and pat dry with paper towels.

Making the Cocktail Sauce

5

Combine ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tablespoons of horseradish, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce to taste.

6

Mix well

Stir the mixture until well combined. Adjust the horseradish and hot sauce to your preference for spiciness.

Serving

7

Plate the shrimp

Arrange the shrimp on a serving platter or individual cocktail glasses.

8

Serve with sauce

Serve the shrimp with the cocktail sauce on the side for dipping.
