Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Crab Legs

Thaw the king crab legs if frozen by placing them in the refrigerator overnight. If you're short on time, you can run them under cold water for about 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Gather Ingredients

Collect all your ingredients: crab legs, water, lemon, butter, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, and salt.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over high heat. Add the Old Bay seasoning and salt.

  2. 4

    Add the Crab Legs

Once the water is boiling, carefully add the thawed crab legs to the pot. Make sure they are submerged.

  3. 5

    Cook the Crab Legs

Cover the pot and cook the crab legs for about 5-7 minutes. They are already cooked, so you’re just heating them through.

  4. 6

    Melt the Butter and Garlic

While the crab legs are cooking, melt 1 cup of butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  5. 7

    Prepare the Lemon

Cut the lemon into wedges for serving.

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve the Crab Legs

Once cooked, carefully remove the crab legs from the pot using tongs. Place them on a serving platter.

  2. 9

    Add Butter and Lemon

Drizzle the melted garlic butter over the crab legs and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
