Method

Prepare the Patty

  1. 1

    Combine Meats

In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef and breakfast sausage until well combined.

  2. 2

    Season the Meat

Season the meat mixture with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until evenly distributed.

  3. 3

    Form Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.

  4. 4

    Preheat Cooking Surface

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

  5. 5

    Cook Patties

Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).

Prepare the Toppings

  1. 6

    Cook Bacon

In a separate skillet, cook the hickory-smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 7

    Fry Eggs

In the same skillet, fry the eggs sunny-side up until the whites are set but the yolks remain runny.

  3. 8

    Toast Buns

Prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  4. 9

    Prepare Veggies

Slice the tomato and wash the lettuce leaves.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 10

    Add BBQ Mayo

Spread BBQ mayo on the bottom half of each toasted burger bun.

  2. 11

    Add Patty

Place the cooked patty on top of the mayo-covered bun.

  3. 12

    Layer Toppings

Top the patty with a generous amount of cheddar cheese, diced ham, and the fried egg.

  4. 13

    Finish with Veggies

Add crispy fried onions, a slice of tomato, and a lettuce leaf on top.

  5. 14

    Complete Burger

Drizzle additional BBQ mayo on the top half of the bun and place it on top to complete the burger.
